Transportation

DCSS Bus Routes
  • Please wait until a student patrol or an adult on duty approaches your car before letting your student out of your vehicle.

  • Please do not pull around a bus or another car in an atttempt to exit the school.  Please wait in line until you are directed to exit.  Although many of us are in hurry in the morning, the extra 1-2 minutes you may have to wait will help assure a safe environment for our students.

  • Cars exiting the school in the morning are asked to turn right out of the school.  This is to protect the high volume of students utilizing the crosswalk at that time and to prevent backup in the car pool lane.

  • Please observe posted speed limits on the residential streets surrounding the school, and refrain from texting or using your cell phone while driving.

Morning Drop-off

Everyone

  • All parents should say their goodbyes at the front door.  However, if it is necessary for you to enter the building in the morning, you must report to the front office to show your ID, sign in and receive a visitor's pass.   The school administration must know who is in the building at all times for the safety and security of all students and staff.

  • All parents are asked to leave the hallways by 7:40AM to allow teachers to get the students organized and to prepare for the first lesson.

  • If you arrive after the tardy bell, it is necessary for parents to walk their child into the front office and sign them in and receive a tardy pass.
